The elder scrolls morrowind mods mod#
This is a simple, easy mod that does a lot by making characters look less like blocky messes and is well worth an install. It isn’t a crazy overhaul, but the subtle changes really go far and it even updates things like gauntlets and shields.
It basically replaces a bunch of the vanilla armour meshes and match them to the better bodies mod so that you look epic as hecc instead of a giant walking fridge with cardboard armour stuck to yourself.

Firstly, you’re gonna want to download the Better Bodies mod, which basically just makes the bodies in the game look less like giant walking fridges. So, I should explain this is kind of a 2-part mod. Why? Because I’m a narcissistic person who likes my character looking epic OK, don’t judge me. Better Morrowind ArmorĪnd rounding it all off, another cosmetic mod. This mod just ensures the signs you are reading are clear and impossible to miss and honestly, just is an essential mod for anyone who still has hair on their head that they don’t want to rip out in frustration. Solution, get this mod YESTERDAY! Due to spending so much of this game walking from place to place, having reliable, easy to read signs can come in clutch on the roads. Who cares about sign posts right? WRONG! The sign posts in vanilla have led me multiple times into pits of DEATH because they are really easy to misread. Now look, some of you might think this is a silly mod. This ensures no 2 look alike which really helps in that all important immersion.
Hence this mod! Not only does it remove a lot of the static that the game suffers from, it also overhauls the NPCs a bit. Obviously this game came out a hot minute ago, so the AI does leave a bit to be desired. Morrowind Comes AliveĪnother thing that brings this game down a bit sadly, is how stagnant is it. While it doesn’t do a ton to overhaul other faces, it does replace their stock faces and hairs, which honestly, does wonders.

I am a bit of a lazy modder, so this is a great mod for me as it combines a bunch of different face mods to make your character look a bit less like a potato. One of the easiest ways to change that is with THE Facepack Compilation. Let’s be honest here, the character models in this game did not hold up well. This mod adds a bunch of nice animated vegetation to a bunch of areas and overall just makes the world a little more alive. You spent a lot of time traveling between cities and seeing the same empty vistas can get annoying after a while. One of my biggest gripes with vanilla Morrowind, is how barren everything is. I have included environment mods in the 2 previous mod lists, and this list is no exception! For Morrowind, I’ve chosen Vurt’s Groundcover as it just looks stunning. It might be obvious by now, but I’m a big fan of pretty environments. So, for a slightly less painful reading experience, this is your mod. This mod just cleans up the appearance a bit, providing a higher resolution of the font in the menu, during dialogue and in the journal. Morrowind also has a LOT of reading, like far more than the next two games, so why not at least ensure the font is pleasant to read. But if you’re anything like me, the font in this game drives you NUTS. While this mod doesn’t go above and beyond like some other more specific ones do, it’s honestly such a vital mod that does so much for this older title that it’s worth getting stat! 2. If you’ve played any of vanilla Morrowind, you know the game needs all the help it can get in the appearance department. MGE XE basically overhauls the appearance of the game, allowing you to see further into the distance, as well as adding improved shaders and lighting.
But it’s also a really good mod in and of itself. And that is that it’s basically a requirement for so many other mods. There is a reason this is one of the most popular Morrowind mods on the Nexus. So, without further ado, lets take it back even further! Here are 7 must have mods for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind that you need to download RIGHT NOW! 1. But you know when you see a market you gotta cater to it. I imagine this is entirely by random and due to people searching for them on Google. So, for reasons unknown some of the most popular posts on the blog is my Skyrim Mods and Oblivion Mods series.
